Dr. Matthews graduated from Southern Illinois University – School of Dental Medicine in 2000. He then served as a general dentist in the United States Navy for 4 years, where he completed additional general dentistry training with an Advanced Education in General Dentistry certificate. During his time in the Navy, he was privileged to serve in Kuwait during the 2003 Iraqi War where he assisted in keeping the fighting troops healthy. In 2004 he was released from the Navy and began his general dental practice here in Surprise. For the last 14 years he has continued to develop his practice by meeting the everchanging needs of his patients. He is certified in Lumineers and Clear Correct and Cerec. And is continually improving his ability to treat his patients through multiple study groups and SPEAR Education.
When Dr. Matthews is not working, he spends most of his time doing activities with his wife and 5 children. He enjoys boating and hiking and working around the house.
